I LOVE IT WHEN...
The click happens. That moment when I'm working with someone I admire and, together, we discover something that neither of us quite knew until then.
Sometimes, it's an insight. A flash of clarity that we know will help people be better and accomplish more.
Other times, it's an unexpected connection. A new way of seeing a challenge or opportunity that we know can help people be their best.
Many times, it's hearing the leader within. It's helping someone understand how their unique mix of knowledge, perspective and experience comes together to define their leader's voice. And how they can use their voice to have the impact they want to have in the world.
Those moments are what I love most about my work. One leader I've known and helped for several years told me, "I think about you as my communication concierge." That idea really struck me. It's the kind of relationship I work hard to have. I admire people who step up and lead. I love helping them see what they have to say. I love working with them to strengthen their voice as a leader-- and get through. I love helping them get the results they need when we get the message just right.
"Communication Concierge" is a great way to capture what I do. It's really satisfying work.
